Hello to Our Valued Patient!

We hope you and your family have been staying safe and healthy during these times.  The safety of all of you and our staff has always been at the forefront of our consideration; therefore, we have put in place very stringent safety protocols to assure your visits can be made in confidence.  We have and still are currently in the process of reaching out to those of you whose appointments had to be cancelled during the Shelter-in-Place to reschedule those appointments.  It is our intention to contact everyone in the order in which they were originally scheduled; therefore, we appreciate your patience as we tend to this process.

During the shelter-in-place, we have been working hard behind the scenes to organize and significantly minimize exposure to you and our staff.  Please see below for our updated infection control practices and protocols we have put in place.

 

  1. Our staff will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment with masks, face shields, and gloves. All our equipment and rooms will be completely disinfected between each patient. We have allotted extra time in between patients to minimize the risk of exposure.
  1. We will maximize tele/digital communications through email, text, and phone. When possible, we will have documents completed, signed, and emailed back to us in advance of your appointment or printed and brought with you.  If pen and paper are required, we will disinfect all writing instruments before and after each patient use.
  1. Crowd control: Until further notice, we ask that you not bring a companion to your appointment, unless you are in need of a caregiver or guardian to assist you.  If you bring a driver, we ask that the driver remains in the car to wait for you.  Parents, we love your children, but please arrange for childcare at home if your child does not have a scheduled appointment.  We request that only one parent accompany each child/minor to his or her appointment. Siblings will not be allowed in the exam room.  It is also important that you come 5 minutes early to your appointment for a proper screening time.  If anyone is 15 minutes late than the scheduled time, we will need to reschedule.
  1. Several HEPA filtration air purifiers and hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the office to help remove toxins in the air and associated surfaces. Also, please note, our office has been equipped with hands-free sinks, please feel free to Wash Your Hands!
  1. Please bring your own mask and wear it upon arrival. For the safety of our staff, doctors, and patients, anyone without a mask cannot be serviced.  If you are a caregiver or are accompanying your child to his or her appointment, we ask that both you and the patient wear masks. The only exception will be children two (2) years and younger.
  1. Upon arrival for your scheduled appointment, we will greet you to take an ear/forehead temperature, to provide hand sanitizer, and to provide a professional-strength OraCare mouthrinse.  The mouthrinse will reduce the aerosolized toxins present. We will then walk you through our check-in process.  During preliminary screening, anyone showing signs of fever or illness will be asked to reschedule his or her visit.
  1. While in the dental office, we will remind you to minimize physically touching any surfaces, including TV remotes, counters, handles, etc. If assistance is needed, please let our staff know and we will be happy to help.
  1. Restrooms. In order to make sure the facility is available immediately upon check-in, the restrooms will be closed to any public use other than for emergencies.  For this reason, it is important to use your home restroom prior to coming to your appointment.
  1. Walk-ins are discouraged and may result in you having to wait outside until we can accommodate you.
